If you're looking for a self catering holiday by the sea, in a beautiful part of Scotland, you've come to the right website.
Traighuaine Ard (pronounced Try-oo-nie) is one of a tiny hamlet of five houses perched on the hillside with spectacular views over the sea and islands (according to one guest, they counted 17 islands).
The accommodation is a self-contained apartment on the ground floor of Traighuaine Ard. It sleeps 5 and offers all the comforts of a newly built home. Large beds and a choice of both a bath or a shower are provided for your comfort.
Whether your perfect holiday is peace and relaxation or you prefer a more active break, Traighuaine Ard is the perfect West Coast Getaway. If you’re looking for the bright lights, this isn’t the place for you, but on a clear night, you will see the milky way and the sunsets are stunning.
There is plenty to do, both near at hand and further afield. Outdoor pursuits such as walking, sailing, kayaking, diving and fishing are all close at hand for you to enjoy. The National Trust for Scotland Arduaine Garden, famous for its rhododendrons, is within walking distance. Or you might choose to explore the ancient historical sites at Kilmartin Glen or take a boat trip through the Gulf of Corrievreckan (the third largest whirlpool in the world) and look out for wild life. Further afield, take a ferry from Oban (The Gateway to the Isles) and explore some of the Inner Hebridean islands.

If you are a larger group, a neighbouring cottage, which sleeps 4/6 guests, is only a minute's walk from Traighuaine Ard. If you click on Links you can access the owners' website and check whether you can book both properties for the same week.

There are quite a few self catering cottages in Argyll. Few will offer you the perfect holiday location and the stunning views that Traighuaine Ard has to offer.
